I just got an Acer Netbook and it has a built in camera on the screen (like a mac) but I'm not sure how to use it.  And in the user guide it says nothing about the camera..  How do I use it?  And is it just a video/web cam or can it take pictures too?

There is most likely a utility for it somewhere on the computer. Look for some kind of Acer control panel.

The camera should be able to do both Video and Pictures.

If you are trying to use it to communicate with someone else, most programs have a built in feature to use the camera.

Such as AIM, will use the camera to video conference with someone else via the AIM network.

If you click on the start button and then my computer you can see your camera. Double click it and your image comes up. Theres additional options you can choose if you click the arrows on the panels.

You must atleast have a program to run the webcam. try using it with ym or skype.
