I purchased a HP Pavlion Elite e9120y system with an ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card. AFter the inital BIOS boot up and all settled down, I noticed that the fan on the graphic card would "whirl up" to speed each time I would do something on the screen. Things like pushing the browser windows around, changing the volume on itunes, etc. It became so annoying it was almost funny, but not that funny. Has anyone else had this experience? Did BB replace your card and did it help? Any suggestions on what to do?

Its like a laptop fan is it not? It does this because in Windows Vista, it has the ability to throttle CPU fans based on load and demand from the system.

if the sound is bothering you enough, you could go into the BIOS and modify the fan settings.
installing the ati catalyst control center in windows should also allow you to change the fans rotational speed.
