Do I HAVE to bu sound card for a NEW ASUS desktop?  Purchased it last week, still can't get my digital speakers to make a sound.  They are older Boston Acoustics, plug them into the Audigy card in my other desktop, works perfect.  I asked in store, if they would have told me THEN, I would have bought one.  Any suggestions? HELP

Assuming these are the older ones that connect via USB, they may not be compatible with your new desktop, the audio settings might not be configured for digital output for use with your digital speakers, or you don't have the software installed to use your digital speakers. You'll have to figure it out for yourself.
