Built-in wireless on laptops is usually implemented with a replaceable internal card (although most users aren't aware of this since it is not typically intended to be user-replacable). In older laptops this form factor was called "Mini-PCI", but in newer laptops it is called "Mini-PCI Express".
What it means in the specifications is that your laptop has built in wireless networking capability, and that in theory it is upgradable (although I strongly reccommend against doing this unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing - this component upgrade is frequently not allowed by the laptop warranty, unlike memory upgrades which almost always are allowed by the warranty.)

You can go to this website and download a small scanner program that will tell you what kind of memory that you have and what your upgrade options are.

I used it to upgrade my laptop's memory and don't regret it at all.

Welcome, insomniaqueen32!
Congratulations on the new laptop. As stated, the Wlan mini wireless card would not help with memory upgrade.
Check out our Memory Finder at: http://bestbuy.upgradebase.com/ and feel free to ask a Geek Squad® Agent for help upgrading your laptop. Enjoy!
