both series of processors are available in a variety of speeds, so your question is somewhat difficult to answer.

the turion is amd's meant-for-mobile processor, while the core 2 duo is a line of processors found in both the desktop and mobile segments.

they both have their strengths, it's much easier to speak to them at a system level.
