need my cd player

recently purchased a 2014 ram truck, too late i discovered,,no cd player. can i buy a stand-alone or portable cd player that will plug into the aux. port of my existing system? or maybe an in-dash player and just locate it in my center console? i have an aux.port, and 12 v supply plus a usb port in the console. do they make a cd player that would plug into any of these?   thanks for any help, i want my cds ,don't want ipod or mp3.

Re: need my cd player

weird, that you still want cd's, but hey i get alot of those customers that really enjoy them over converting to mp3 off a mp3 player.  if you hvae an auxillary jack you will be able to play anything you desire with a headphone jack. heck if you were to buy a portable cassette unit that would plug in also.  seriously anything with a headphone jack will play through that aux!  if  you have an old cd player you can plug one end of the aux cord to the cd player and the other end to the car aux port, and viola done!  there are other options for adding in a 6 disc cd changer, no best buy will carry them, but you don't need to purchase products from us for us to install them.  we don't even have a sku anymore for the 6 disc cd changer installation, but i can imgaine it would be between 60 dollars, for a basic installation, but if you want to get creative you might be looking at custom labor depending on where you want to mount the thing.  hope this helps, thanks for posting and best of luck!

Re: need my cd player

very welcome!  seriously anything with a headphone jack will play through that aux port on your car. you don't need anything fancy that will break the bank, just get something with a heaphone jack.

Re: need my cd player

no i woudln't recomment that, just buy a portable cd player. if you were to buy a aftermarket cd player you will  need to hook up power, ground, accessory, really just more troubles than its worth.  if you were to buy a portable cd player then all you need is an aux cord which is 14.99
