I posted a question and received a reply regarding a Viper Smart Start and I have one additional question. I have an appointment to have a couple of problems addressed this weekend at another Best Buy and noticed another possible problem today.
I have always remote started when it was dark outside and the headlamps on auto so the headlights and parking lamps turn on when using the Viper. I started the Taurus today (daylight) to warm it after a recent snow and looked outside, no parking lamps on so I attempted to restart and still no parking lamps. After the third attempt to start I went out to the Taurus and it was running and probably started and shut down each time I used the Smart Start App.
Shouldn't the parking lamps be on when the car is running?

Yes. They definitely should be on while it is remote started. You definitely want to bring that up to the Autotechs when you take it back in.
