Installing new stereo in 2005 toyota tundra with JBL stock system

To be honest what harness do I need?

I get a different answer everywhere I go.

Right now I am just wanting to install a nicer radio and for the time being utilize the stock amp and speakers.

I have been told I use one harness if I want to keep the steering wheel controls, and another if I dont.

What harness, adapter or interface do I need?

Eventually I want to replace the door speakers and the stock amp....so which will work in that case as well?

Re: Installing new stereo in 2005 toyota tundra with JBL stock system

Welcome to the Best Buy forums kcrraway-

Before we started carrying these new PAC harnesses, our customers were always asking us if we had other options, but in a different way.  When vehicles have already amplified systems, the harnesses required can be quite expensive.  Fortunately, PAC heard our clients and introduced the PAC Pro harnesses!

I truly believe I'm understanding the question at hand and I'm hoping to clarify the two harnesses!  Both harnesses will integrate into your factory amplifier as they should, and if you want to bypass the amplifier later on down the road, feel welcome to with ease using either harness.  The steering wheels are the biggest factor, and if you read the "notes" that I've provided in the Vehicle Proposal I've sent you, you'll quickly understand the difference!

I honestly do not know why I send the proposals twice to each one of my customer's, but please check your folders, including your spam and junk ones in case an unknown filter is in place!  Don't hesitate to write back if you have any other questions!

I was wondering where those quotes came frome! ha

Now if I were to take out all the stock speakers, JBL amp, and JBL head unit......what would I need then?

I plan on upgrading the head unit, better amp, and better speakers.
