I was curious? Car stereo installations

On the technical side for the auto-tech and electrical side of it also, does Best Buy have to make the repairs with in time limits? Or do they take few days or maybe 1 week to install on some of the products. Such as the car stereo, or car phone, or speakers/amplifiers. How long does it really take for a technician to complete say a car stereo installation project?

    First off accept my apologies for my late replies to your threads, im usually much faster at getting around to these, but my daughters 2 years came by and tied up my weekend with family and friends.  So with that said i do want to thank you for taking the time to contribute to the car, marine & gps thread, and im glad to see that you have some really great questions!

 

So most of the work that is performed by Best Buy on a regular basis can be completed in the time frames within their day.  A deck/radio install would usually take between 30 minutes to an hour for the most common estimate.  some techs navigate at their own speeds, and some have been doing it for longer, so an autotech should be informing customers of time frames based on their skill level.  You will see an hour slot booked out for really any appointment, this ensures that when you have your time frame, not only are we able to install your product, but also at the end provide you with a very detailed demo, warranty paperwork and disclaimer, and plenty of time to make you not feel rushed at any point.

 

Now, there are going to be some days and some techs where the job might take just a bit longer than we booked, and if that happens they should be doing their best to provide accurate "mid job" work calls to keep the client up to speed about the approximate time of completion.

 

basically we try to make everything as quick, thorough, and whatever else that can be done to accomodate our customers busy schedules.  I would also say that there have been some cars that are multiple days, but in all reality our average day customers are going to be able to drop their car off and pick up up that same day a few hours later.  I hope this helps answer some of your question, and should you have further questions never hesitate to let me know! thank you again for your pateince during my busy weekend! best of luck!
