My vehicle currently has a cassette player installed, can BB cut a bigger hole in my dash to make a standard 1 DIN CD player fit?
Thanks

MarkCollette,
Can you provide me with your vehicle year, make, and model? With that information i would be able to provide you with a more accurate quote as the the possible prices that you may see for such a task.
We are fully equipped in most bays to tackle really any task that may arise during an installation. Our custom labor skus will start at $24.99 per 1/4 hour on top of the general $5 materials charge fee and $64.99 for the deck installation. let me know if I can further assist you with this inquiry. Best of luck!

Thanks,
It is a 1949 Studebaker 2R10 pickup truck, all of the componensts are easily accessed and there would be no body panels to remove for the install.
V/r,
Mark

Sweet! Nice ride you have there, and indeed this would be a custom installation. I can inform you of the costs as best as possible, but i would also call your local installation bay to see if the installer there is capable of performing the task at hand. It would be beneficial for you while you are on the phone to find a time to meet with the installer and have him/her take a look and see what the wiring looks like and provide a quote and proper time to complete the installation.
Here is the breakdown of what your vehicle installation prices might look like:
material charge $5.00
Deck install $64.99
Hardwire $34.99
Custom labor per 1 hour $99.99 (this price is very loose and could be more or less depending on what that installer sees at the time of installation).
I do hope you are able to find a shop in your area that can perform this work for you. We have alot of great techs, and alot of new ones too, so it is always best to find the installer that you feel is most qualified to work on your vehicle. I don't know any techs that wouldn't be up front and honest if they would tackle this or not. Should you need further assistance from here i would recommend visiting your local instalaltion bay from here. Thank you again for the fast follow-up and I do wish you the best of luck!
I worked on one of these about 6 years ago, probably not the same year, but isn't there something special about that wiring at the battery with like a 6 volt turn on or negative grounding system? if there is then there may be additional pieces required to get this radio to work that Best Buy installation bays will not carry on hand. Just a heads up!

Just an FYI the vehicle may have a 6 volt system not 12 volt.
