Can I buy a portible cd player and either put it on the dashbord or in the dash board. I don't mean cheap peice of crap which will fall apart or skip if I go over a bump. ALso one that has diecent sound.

When my CD player in my 2003 Honda CRV finally bit the dust, I used a portable CD player in the car for awhile and it worked fine. Never cad trouble with it skipping. I bought a Sony CD Walkman and it worked fine. But I have since bought a CD Car Stereo from Best Buy and love it. It is a pioneer model. The nice thing is they will install it AND put the orginial stereo unit back in when you go to trade in the car. But the portable CD player worked for me just fine.

I'll also add that the installer where I bought my car stereo in West Lebanon, NH - Paul - did a fantastic job installing the unit and taking time afterward to go over the main features of the new unit and even help me pair up my iPhone with the bluetooth before I left the store. I had a very positive experience with the whole thing.
And autotech796 didn't pay me a thing to say that! - just passing on the good experience I had.
