Tell your daughter congratulations on the new purchase of her 2017 Jeep Renegade. As time goes by, older technology starts to disappear, unfortunately, CD’s are becoming a thing of the past. I can certainly understand the benefits of the sound quality the CD offers, and it is nice to physically hold the music, but it alas multi-media receivers are becoming more and more popular. Thank you for visiting the Best Buy forums to create a post on the Car, Marine, and GPS section!
Your daughter’s vehicle should have a few features available to listen to her music. If the car is equipped with Bluetooth technology, then you may luck out and have an “aux port” also, somewhere in that vehicle. You could buy an auxiliary cord, to connect to an external CD player to listen to music through your radio if this port was an option for this radio. If this was not provided, I would have to persuade you to roll with the ever changing speed of technology, and download the music to a device capable of Bluetooth communication.
When you use Bluetooth from a cellular device, it creates a safer commute for everyone on the road, since your eyes can stay on the road, and not shuffle around trying to answer a phone call. Our Autotechs’ are the car installers who work on these vehicles all day long, so if you ever happen to have any question about car electronics, I would always recommend speaking with a Geek Squad Autotech for help also!
