need cheap camcorder with mic input and optical zoom

Hi cocheran,
From what I understand external microphone jacks are only included on higher end model camcorders, and these models won't be "cheap". If you could elaborate on what you would be primarily using this camcorder for, and what your budget is, maybe the community could point you in the right direction.
Thanks,

I agree with Allan - mic jack and "cheap" don't go together.
A somewhat more labor-intensive method is to use a standalone audio recorder like the Zoom H1 and any camcorder, and splice the audio from the Zoom into the video with an editor - but this is a labor-intensive process.

I found me one. Thanks for the input. It's for recording the sermons at church to upload to youtube. I wanted to run the audio from the mixer. I got a Canon Vixia HF R11 for 249.
Thanks again.

Optical zoom and the word cheap don't really go together either as far as camcorders go. You may want to look at getting a DSLR or something and using it for video.
