converting 8mm negatives to photos on computer

Don't they make a type of scanner/convertor that I can purchase so that I can get some images off of old 8MM film negatives onto my laptop for still photos???

Model: FILM2SD | SKU: 9372341

This high-quality 5.0-megapixel scanner lets you transfer film images directly to digital media cards to preserve your memories into the future.

Sale: $129.99

Scans up to 35mm. With a little work, it would do 8mm..

A film scanner.  The one linked above will probably work, but cheap ones tend to be difficult to use.

It may be easier to take the film to a photo processing shop for scanning and transfer.  These shops have much higher end scanners that automate the process, often proving far cheaper than buying even a cheap scanner (esp. after factoring in the value of your time)
