The product Sony - High-Definition MiniDV Handycam Camcorder with 3.2" Widescreen LCD Screen - Black (Model: HDR-FX1000 | SKU: 9336471) an online-only item has been sold out for at least 2 months. Does this not say something to Best Buy that there is a market for higher end cameras than most of the ones they offer? This is the only one sold by Best Buy that is a high-end consumer/low-end professional unit.  At least keep this one in stock. And make the price comparable to other online sites!

That's pretty far out of the consumer range.   Nice cam though.  Buy it somewhere else.  I'm sure it will cheaper elsewhere anyway.

Because this is a high-end camcorder, and the demand for this camcorder is much less than a consumer level camcorder, we most likely purchased a very limited amount of this camcorder from the manufacturer. This is most likely why this camcorder is sold out on our website. You could try contacting your local store to see if they would be able to place a special order for this camcorder.
