Thanks alot, the information that you provided was very helpfull in making me decide wat i want to purchse. I think i could go for HF100 which has HD, expandble slash memory (16 GB internal memory) and most importently resonable budget that falls in my rainge. Do you have any sujesions or corrections to make in my choice ?

HF100 does not have internal memory. That's the HF10.
The HF100 has been discontinued for a while. If you get one there's a high risk of it being used/refurb.
The HF200 is the current model.

I am confused between Canon HF 200, Panosonic's HDC SD 20, HDC TM 10, HDC HS 250

The Canon HF S100 is the replacement for the HF 100, not the HF 200. The HF 100 has a bigger sensor and better low-light performance than than the HF 200 so the HF 200 can hardly be considered an upgrade to the HF 100.

You are comparing apples and oranges here. The SD20 and TM10 are not in the same class as the other 2 models. The Canon HF 200 and the Panasonic HDC-HS250 are both good cams though I would choose the Panasonic over the Canon in this case. You could also consider comparing the HG21 and HF11 from Canon to the Panasonic HDC-HS250. They are older models but better than the HF200 in my opinion.
