And if anyone here has actually purchased the camera, is it true that the pics come out just as good as pics with an SLR?? Any info is much appreciated

I love the idea of the Nex 3/5. I plan to purchase either this week, but I am curious, since it's called the "Alpha" Nex 5, does this mean I could attach any sony alpha lenses to it? If so, would the same apply to the Nex 3?And if anyone here has actually purchased the camera, is it true that the pics come out just as good as pics with an SLR?? Any info is much appreciated
To use standard Alpha lenses instead of the Nex-specific "short-throw" lenses, you need a special adapter. As I understand it, this adapter does have some restrictions.
I haven't used it, but assuming similar optics, these should provide the same image quality as an APS-C DSLR, as the NEX series have APS-C sized sensors (in fact they likely share sensors with other Sony SLRs.)
dpreview is usually a good resource for camera reviews - their forums are known for severe moderator bias but their front-page reviews are usually pretty impartial, and they cover the NEX series - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonynex5nex3/
