San Disk Memory Stick Pro Duo

Hello...I have a Sony Digital Camara with a MEMORY STICK PRO DUO (SANDISK), I tried to download the pictures as I always do with the Adaptor, and the computer gave me the message: "your external memory need to be format", the picture were there to copy them, but It just didn't let me.  Now, I can't find the pictures, I can't use the camera beacuse it says "error formatting the memory card"...Can some body help me to save the pictures?

Re: San Disk Memory Stick Pro Duo

Hi danit00,

Whatever you do don't format this card with your computer or camera; formatting your card could result in permanent loss of your images. It sounds like there is some sort of file error on the card not allowing your computer to copy the images, and your camera is prompting you to format the card due to this error.

My suggestion would be to get a photo recovery program to try and get these images of this memory card, and then once you have recovered the images you can then format the card in your camera. I use SanDisk RescuePRO image recovery software that came bundled with my SanDisk 16GB Extreme Compact Flash memory card, and the few times I've used it I was able to recover all of my images.

I would suggest trying a photo recovery program to get the images off this card.
