I just noticed that Canon T1i dSLR camera was added for pre-order today. The price for body only (by description) is set $1300! The MSRP is $799 for body only, $899 for body+base lens. Does Best Buy really expect anyone to buy it for $500 / 62% more than MSRP?

SOME company failed to learn from the mistakes of a major rival that recently went out of business...
I own a Pentax K20D. MSRP on release was $1299. Street price was $100 less everywhere, except the now-out-of-business rival who wanted $1900. After 4-6 months they finally put it "on sale" for MSRP, advertising that "you save" $600 - when in reality their price was now $200 above anyone else.

Hi RikoOnWeb,
After your initial post I forwarded your inquiry onto BestBuy.com to have them look into this, and thanks to you making us aware of this price misprint BestBuy.com changed the price to pre-order this camera to the correct amount.
