I've had my nikon less then a year and it wont charge via wall charger or computer. i also tried my back up battery and it wont turn on or charge with that battery either. yes the batteries were installed correctly AND I even took out the memory card as I saw some other forums mentioned to do so without any luck. We bought it from best buy about 9 or 10 months ago so I don't think they will do anything about it since I didn't buy insurance on it. UGH. Any other way I can troubleshoot this to get it to work?

I would try seeing if the charging cord is bad. Other than that you may have to send it to Nikon for repair. I think the Coolpix have a year warranty, but dont quote me on that. (edit, they have a year warranty according to their web site)

My Nikon P500 has the same problem and I had to buy a charger and it works fine.
