Most of the online stores will be shipping their Nikon D800's today or tomorrow.  When can we expect to see this camera available either online or in a Best Buy store?  All your site says is "Coming Soon" and it won't allow you to preorder.

I went by a camera store.... he tells me he a huge wait list of over 70 people with a deposit for the superior D800.  Meanwhile the newly arrived Canon 5D M3 is collecting dust in the corner like an unwanted child.

It sounds like there are a lot of consumers who feel megapixels are directly proportional to quality or performance.

Nope, megapixels don't dictate quality...but an amazing sensor does.

There is a hunger for higher megapixels by consumers and professionals.   Many people like to crop their images.  High megapixels allow for this.

BTW.... it appears Best buy is taking orders now...
