I was meaning to post back to this today. After I sent my email to the relevant business team here at our corporate headquarters I got a response back confirming that the price we had this lens listed at was currently incorrect, and that they would get the price updated to the correct price. Just a quickie update...

I ordered the lens and it arrived in time for me to head over to the local store and have them do a return/repurchase to use my 12% rewards coupon.  They said they could do it that way because it was offered as "order online or in store".  The "in store" part allows you to use those coupons.  Since it was unavailable to the store through their ordering system, I was told to get it myself and bring it in.  In the end I got it for $1,772.31.  Oh, and shipping was free due to Silver Premier status.  It only cost me about $50 over the NY camera shops and I get to finance it for 18 months ($100 per).

It would have never worked out had Allan not stepped in and sent his email.  KUDOS delivered!

Now I'm off to get some accessories ordered before the "up to 30% off" deal runs out!!
