I'm currently using this blue SD Card Reader called USB Card Reader/Writer (picture here)

and I can't seem to remove write protection? I've tried to eject and remove and insert steps but they won't seem to work, but how do I open the Card Reader so I can turn write protection off so I can place other files into the SD Card?

see the write protect switch is not in all the drives, and i dont see a switch there

besides this you can try the followign method

• Open Registry Editor by Start > Run.
• Type in regedit.
• Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
• Locate the sub-key StorageDevicePolicies. If it doesn’t exist then create it first. Create a new key under Control by right clicking on it so that you don’t create it elsewhere by mistake.
• Right click in the blank area of the sub key you just created and create a new DWORD value by the name WriteProtect.
• Double-click it and set the value data as 1 (and 0 for disabling it).
• Click OK, close the Registry Editor and restart the PC.

Did you by any chance flip the write protect switch of the SD card itself by accident?

the switch to the left of the SD card is up, so I pulled it down adn that did nothing, so I will try the regedit thing.

what didnt worked? i mean please mention specifically at what level you are having difficulty?

if this didnt work, then get yourself a new one....

coz there is nothing that can be done more
