Hi chivagirl,
Since you dropped the camera there is most likely damage inside the camera. Without actually looking at the camera my best guess would be that your lens mechanism is damaged or moved out of alignment, and when you turn your camera on the lens tries to come out of the camera body but due to the damage it physically can't (clicking noises). When this happens most cameras are programmed to shut down automatically.
I actually posted some possible resolutions to lens problems here, but I would suggest going to your local Best Buy® store first and have a digital imaging expert in the store take a look at your camera first.
If the store can't resolve your issue and my tips don't resolve your issue you will most likely need to have the camera looked at by a repair technician. You could bring it to the Geek Squad® precinct in your local Best Buy® store and they should be able to send it out to get serviced. Keep in mind that the repair will probably be at cost to you since the problem is most likely due to damage caused by the drop of your camera, and I would also keep in mind that often times the cost of repairing a digital camera exceeds the replacement cost of the camera being repaired.
I hope this helps!

Thanks I think that's what's wrong with it because the lens on the camera is crooked and not all the way in
the camera like it used to be before. I took it in to my local Best Buhy and it turns out i have insurance on
it. The guy said that he would send it in for me.
