$1000 i guess? i'm more into photography at the moment but wanna get into cinematography. hope i could get both. like Canon's 5Ds

The 5D is probably the closest you'd get to doing both well that I've read but you'll be well out of the price range you listed. Dunno how the T3i is on video (ask over on www.photography-on-the.net . Its a Canon camera site) but its around a grand I think. I use Nikons myself. Only camera body in the house that has video is the wifes D7000 and I have yet to bother using the video on it. She has and it was so-so IMO. My camcorder does 100 times better (and its a Sony to boot).
