I am trying set up an intranet webcast at our school and wonder if someone can recommend a good camcorder that will hook into our laptops and desktop.

If you could post your budget it would be easier to make some suggestions. It sounds like you need a Webcam to us to broadcast live from; it might also help if you gave a more detailed description of what you will be using this camcorder/webcam for.

I am trying to set up a webcast program where we can have student reporters live or recorded. This would be a ten minute program twice a week. I am also trying to figure out how to add special effects, recorded video, and still photos to this webcast. I am an yearbook advisor and we do our book online so this is new to me. My students were excited at the prospect of doing this. My problem is what we need to set a good presentation and what probable cost there would be so that I could seek the funds. Any help would be appreciated.
