Hello, I was wondering since now that Best Buy Marketplace is working with Cameta Camera and offering some great lens options, would it be possible to order (even special order) a camera that is not currently listed on Best Buy's website? I'm potentially interested in a Nikon D3s. Cameta carrys it in stock. Would love to use my BB card, get the 12 or 18 months same as cash and also accumulate some Reward Zone points.
Can this be done?
Thanks!

Hi UnChained,
Unfortunately if the Nikon D3s isn’t listed for sale in the Marketplace we would not be able facilitate the sale of this model from Cameta. There is also now system in place for us to special order this model from Cameta for you. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask.
Thanks,

Any idea why this is listed as "Sold Out Online"? It has been since I first posted it above, yet Cameta's (the marketplace store) website says that it is in stock. What/how is the final connection made so that it can be ordered from the marketplace?

Gonna guess they still dont have the Sendai plant running completely. Also quite a few of the parts are made in Thailand which that plant is totally under water. Only thing I've heard (and this is from 3rd party sources, havent heard anything directly from Nikon) is they expect to have the plants running at full cap by Mar 2012.
My usual haunts for buying gear all have the D3s listed as "temporarily unavailable".
