Why was my order delayed? Was told I would get it today...

Good evening. I received an email about my order saying, "please accept our apology for this inconvenience. We're sorry – your ordered item(s) are taking longer to fulfill than we anticipated."

Why was it delayed? I was told by other representatives that I would get the item today. The SKU of the item is 5947711.

Thank you for letting us know about your order. It's always disappointing when you expect to open the mail box only to find it empty and an item delayed. I'm happy to look into your order to see what I can find out. 

 

Using the email address you used to register to our Forums I was able to locate your order. It looks like the movie you ordered is currently back ordered and our warehouses are completely out of stock right now. The current estimate of when you'll receive your movie is October 11th. 

 

If you would like, I can see if any of your local stores have this movie in stock for in store pickup, or if you would prefer not to wait for the movie I can cancel your order.

 

Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance, I am happy to help.

Hello, again, Andrew.

For the past 2 days, Best Buy has been working on my order, but it still hasn't shipped out. The blu-ray is readily available at plenty of stores around me.

It's really dissapointing that I placed this preorder almost a month ago, and it still hasn't been shipped out. What's wrong?

I apologize for the issues you are having in getting this order. As I said before, this item is currently back ordered at our warehouse and is estimated to be available on October 11th.

 

Unfortunately, I am not able to modify this item to an in store pick up. If you would like I could cancel the order or you could wait for it to be shipped to you.
