Payment still on AWAITING AUTHORIZATION after my order was cancelled on Jue 29

Hi, this is my order number. {removed per forum guidelines}. This order was cancelled on the 29th of June. Since then, the payment method on the order details page has shown Awaiting Authorization. When my payment could be refunded?

Welcome to our forums! Whenever I return a product to a store, or cancel an order, the last thing I want to do is wait any extended period of time for my refund. It’s disheartening to hear there may be an issue with the funds tied to this order, and I don’t blame you for reaching out to us for help.

 

Using the information you’ve provided upon joining our forums, it appears the name on the order does not match your own. Due to privacy concerns, I’m unable to discuss any details regarding this order with you. As I mentioned, the name you originally provided us is not on the order.  Additionally, the name you've changed your account to is also not tied to the order number you've provided.  I again must ask the person whose name is on the order to contact us so we might discuss this order further.

Hi there. I am confused. The email address i used to register on bb.com and on this website is the same. And the name associate with this account and bestbuy.com account is the same too. If you are asking me the name under the shipping address, it is Richard {removed per forum guidelines}.

I am gonna repeat again. This forum account uses the same information I used to register on the bestbuy.com. I was using MY credit card to pay for the total amount. I was shipping the item to my friend cause I was about to visit him. Why on earth that I am not authorized to discuss a payment I made on MY card??

Hi heiheiheiscotty,

 

Orders placed through BestBuy.com have a “Bill To” and a “Ship To” field, which indicates who the order is being shipped to, and who is being billed for the order. Neither of the names you’ve used to register on our forums are in those fields of this order, and as I’ve mentioned, our Privacy Policy prevents us from discussing an order with a customer who is not listed on the order.

Hi, I have just changed my first name to my real first name. Please verify the account name is the same as the billing name.
