Charged for shipping that was supposed to be free.

A couple weeks ago I placed an order on Bestbuy.com for multiple items, that exceeded the $35 minimum for free shipping. All the way through the checkout process it showed shipping as "free". It seems that, AFTER completeing the checkout process, I was charged $7.98 shipping for that order. Can anyone tell me why I was charged for shipping after submitting the order? Is there anything that can be done about this?

The only time I’ve been charged for shipping is if it’s a special order or the pretax amount was less than 35.00. Nothing can really be done as the shipping costs are outlined. It does stink I hope it works out.

Hi MWink,

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. Having an unexpected charge show up on your purchase is never a good experience, and I apologize that you were charged for shipping when it sounds that you should not have been.

Using the information in your post and in your forum registration, I believe that I located your purchase in our systems. Because we respect your privacy, I’ll be sending you a private message to discuss the details of your order rather than posting here in this thread.

You can check this message by logging in to your forum account with us and clicking on the orange envelope in the top right corner of the page.

Thank you,
