Can't complete order

Good day

 

I am an international buyer visiting DC next weekend. Was planning on ordering an Oculus Rift bundle for store pickup. Tried once, but immediately got email back stating order was cancelled. Tried with another credit card, but with this one the authorization failed and got an email stating "action required.' Tried using paypal (my payment method of choice) but got a message stating 'merchant does not accept payment from non-US Paypal accounts.'

 

I have used both card many time for shopping in the US and online without issue. Phoned customer support but I just go the run-around. It is almost as if Bestbuy doesn't want my money.

 

Would still like to proceed if possible though. Last order number is {removed per forum guidelines}

Could somebody please please assist me. The money has been taken out of my account, but the order has been cancelled seven hours later. The money is gone and I have no order now.

So after three calls to customer support and two to the bank, I'm satisfied that

 

1) My bank was perfectly happy with the transaction and actually still is. I have to wait till the transaction bounces back from you in 24 to 48 hours. If it doesn't I apparently need to file a dispute. As far as they are concerned the transaction is still 'a go'

2) Bestbuy must surely lose thousands of dollars in revenue per year through this nonsense. A drop in the ocean for a multi-billion dollar juggernaut but still... 'Unable to verify my details' What a joke, you gave me the fake rubbish Houston address in the first place. 

3) You REALLY wasted my time. And your customer support sucks. There is this weird new technology called EMAIL. You may wanna try it.

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. The summer sale on the Oculus Rift is super tempting. I may pick one up for myself soon. I understand how frustrated you must be in getting your order canceled. I’m sorry that we haven’t been able to provide you with the support you need over the phone.

 

Using your order number that you provided I was able to look in to your orders with us.  International orders are fairly complicated, and sometimes issues like this pop up with them. I apologize for the inconvenience.

 

Based on what I’m seeing your best bet to getting this resolved is to give us a call to place your order over the phone rather than placing your order online.  You can call us at 1-888-BESTBUY (1-888-237-8289) to do this. Alternatively, once you get to the U.S. you may be able to place your order or make the purchase directly in one of our stores.
