Best Buy customer service is HORRIBLE. After spending thousands at your store over the past years I highly doubt I will be returning again. Your customer service is incompetent. I place an online order in time to be able to make a pickup before closing and accidentally enter the expiration date of my cc in wrong and my order gets held up. I can't update it online.....no, I have to call in. What do i get? A rep whom i can't even understand. I tell him my problem he tells me he will transfer me to the correct department. Where does he transfer me? To Best Buy credit department. I don't have a Best Buy credit card. I just wanted to update my expiration date so I can pick up my order before closing. I end up having to hang up, call back, go through it all again and finally get to a rep with no accent that I can understand and what does he do? Asks for my whole entire cc information all over again and enters it extremely SLOW. Well he must've done something wrong because it wouldn't go through. I get on my other phone with my bank.....no problems on there end. So he enters all the info slowly once again. It still wouldn't go through. He never asked me for my 3 number verification on the back on my card like the website always does. So I tell him to cancel the order. By this time I'm angry. I figure I'll just quick fly to the store and get the 2 items i was ordering. I go to print out my rewards certificate.....oh. $35 in rewards certificate didn't seem to get credited back to my account. So I call back again.....go through the automated idiot that can't understand a thing you say, finally get to a rep who tells me I have to wait 3 to 5 business days for my $35 rewards money to be credited back. I have never been so angry at a store in my life. Your customer service personnel is idiotic....making me wait for my reward money is absurd. Especially, after spending the amount of money I did to earn it.. I'll buy my next $4000 refrigerator somewhere else. And to think I was going to buy my dishwasher and oven/range from your store in the next 2 weeks!!!!! No more iPads, 4K tvs, appliances, gaming systems, vacuum cleaners, etc... Learn how to handle your customers the right way before your have none. I'm complaining to the BBB and consumers complaint departments as well. Best Buy is appalling.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I know how frustrating it can be when a credit card gets declined, and when you get poor phone support after it only adds to the frustration.
Using the information in your post and forum registration, I wasn’t able to locate your order in our systems, so I’m not able to give you any insight on why card was repeatedly declined. If you still have the order number, you can send it to me via private message using the link in my signature below, and I’ll see if I’m able to get you a better explanation. I hope that by now your rewards certificates have been reissued and you’ve been able to use them. If not, I expect they should be back in your account soon.
I apologize for the poor phone support you received. We want to provide only the best phone support, and it looks like we fell short in this instance.
