i defiantly received a text today telling me i was randomly selected to win a bestbuy gift card and to visit http://win.fillout.bestbuyscards.com/?id=523922 i was wondering if this was legit or just a scam?

Just received a text message too. The number was440-253-0793. Not sure if anyone can track back this number or not.

Report the sender at http://www.ucan.org/telecommunications/voice/wireless. This is not Bestbuy sending this I hope.

I report it to my wireless provider, AT&T. They track it and pass it to the next levels.

also received this text on April 12th (2012) from Hawthorne, NY ..from the look of this forum its been going on for months and not a single thing has been done....thanks bestbuy..you rock

Hey Spyke-

Jimmienomam stated it was a scam above, but I thought I should comment after your post.  

That text is not from Best Buy, so there is very little we can do.  This is a scam and we are well aware of it.  In all honestly, I actually received the same text message a few days back.  I can tell you, that we are actively working to see if there is anyway to get this to stop in the future.  It is tough, because the text comes from multiple numbers.  

I also got another text containing the same information with a competitors name.  I appreciate you letting us know you received the text as well!

I made a purchase today in a Best Buy store and my phone was updated there (phone in specific).  I received the same txt today as well...somehow they got into the computers in the store?! this is scary...
