question about delivery...REPRESENTATIVE advice please!!!

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to read my post!

My son is in his senior year of high school, and I'm looking to get him a DSLR as a graduation present (he's going to be a Film and Media Studies major in college, so excited!).  I wanted to get him the Canon T2i   http://bit.ly/zOkfkg    since I hear it's a great all-around camera.  However, I want it to be a surprise.

I was curious as to how the delivery process works, is there any way I could have it automatically held at the UPS hub?  He gets home before I do and it'd ruin the surprise if he saw it before graduation.  Wht about shipping to the house, does the package need me to sign for it or can they leave it at my doorstep?  I probably could time it so it arrives while he's out of time, but chances are I wouldn't be at the house when it's delivered.  Please give me some tips on the process!  I'm trying to plan this without ruining the surprise!

UPS does allow you to have the package delivered to your nearest UPS Store, but note the UPS stores are independently owend and may charge you a fee for having it delivered there.

Do you live near a Best Buy store? You could place an order for In-Store Pickup (or Ship-to-Store if they don't have it in stock).

Re: question about delivery...REPRESENTATIVE advice please!!!

No, the closest major electronics store is about 40 miles away. There's a pair of WalMart supercenters in our area, but I'd prefer not to do business with them. Is there any way they could just leave it at my doorstep? My closest neighbor, my mother, is about 300 yards away, so I'm not concerned with it getting lost. I could have it delivered overnight while he's out of town in a few weeks. Is there a form I could fill out to do this?

I guess delivery to a hub is something I should ask a UPS representative about

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!!
