I received an iTunes gift card as a gift and when I went to redeem it, I received a message that the code was invalid. I emailed iTunes customer service and they informed me that the card had been purchased from best buy and then canceled. I am totally bummed. Is there some way to get this corrected?

Only the original purchaser of the gift card can obtain a resolution to the problem you are describing. But it requires a valid reciept.
Your best bet would be to go to the person who gave it to you and have them pursue this matter.

They may reply , and their response may be the same. Unless there is hard proof that there was a purchase of this particular card there may be nothing that can be done.

Hello notunesforme,
Welcome to the Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had trouble using your iTunes card. I’d like to see what I can do to make sure we’re not bumming you out, but I’m going to need a little more information to prove the gift card was purchased with us so I’ve sent you a private message as a first step to getting this sorted out.
