I'm sorry, but that response is BS. All customers who preorder their merchandise should receive it before ANYONE can walk into the store and pick it up. If Best Buy can't guarantee this, they should not offer pre orders as an option. For people who paid in full, before the release date, this should not be an issue. period.

A certain amount of inventory is allocated for BestBuy.com and Best Buy retail store inventories. While the inventory teams do their best to distribute the products evenly, some shortages may exist depending on how many preorders were placed. As inventory is received from Microsoft, the remaining preorders are filled based on when they were placed.

I cancelled my BEST BUY pre-order and ordered mine from the micro *soft website and was able to get it next day!
