I bought this on line Nov. should have been picked up Wed. 14 Dec. got backorder notice 13th no other info. My lady is leaving for her folks house tomorrow. East cost, zip 29464 it is a christmas gift for her parents. I need to have it picked up there now that it is not avaible here. Called twice people on the phone were nice but no info. I know "stuff" happnes but this is a big purches for her, teacher and money in tight and first christmas with parents in 10 years. I need to make somthing happen for her. Please advise.

... hello, my name is Cara and I am the actual buyer of this laptop. I bought it for my parents who live in Chaleston, SC. I was picking it up where I live to bring it to them for Christmas. Since that is not going to happen I must now change the pick up location to any one of the three Best Buys in Charleston, SC. How do I go about getting this taken care of? Is there even the slightest hint of a prayer that I can get this in time for Christmas. I'm Sure this is frustrating for Best Buy also but seriously the selling of this item was very wrong since it did not say it was back ordered when I ordered it.

Cara, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're not going to get this laptop before Christmas. They're backordered and not available for store pickup. Best Buy will only string you along and pretend to help, so I'd suggest canceling your order and finding a replacement gift. I know you're not going to be able to get a deal that good in time for Chrismas (I know because I bought the exact same laptop!) but Best Buy just isn't going to deliver on this one. Sorry... I hope you have a good Christmas anyway! ![]()

Yeah, I've also heard of promises for a DIFFERENT item as a replacement, but "not until Christmas day." I hope you have all canceled your orders and found your replacements somewhere that isn't Best Buy!
