Sundays paper 09/25/09 featured a HP G60-458DX laptop for $399.99.I have been looking for one to replace her aging toshiba. I live in the mountains below Yosmite state park. It its about 50 minutes down Hiway 41 from our house. I called the fresno store on blackstone Sunday at aprox 4:30pm and asked him to make a store sale on my credit card, for the advertised computer and the two year GEEK SQUAD black tie warrany that they said was still instock. I talked to an associate named Mundo. I told him I wanted to purchase the computer and warranty .He took my cc information and said that he would call me back since I was on long distance. Everthing was fine until the HORROR story. He called back saying the card had been declined. I have a Chase signature account and am in good standing. I told him he must have made a mistake and to try again. He called me back and said no the card was declined..I said I think your inputing some information wrong. As I thought for a minute and said you know i don't remember you asking for a expireation date. He said oh, I thought that the three number security you gave me from the back of the card was the expiration (HUH?) He tried it again with the properly inserted info but he had already caused my account to be locked out. I called Chase customer service and had them unlock my account. I called him back and ask him are you new, "no I have been here for seven months" he replied. Fearing that he may screw things up again and I would not get the computer, I ask " Can you transfer me another sales associate who can complete the transaction". He said yes he could, and put me on hold. Five minutes later I realized that he had no intension of transfering me and hung up. I called back and ask for the store mgr. A man idenified himself as the store manager (Machael Reyes). I told him what happened and without so much as an apology defended the associates actions and said that he himself could have made that error.( Note: What??.. are you kidding?? You don't know the difference between the 3 digit security code and the 4 digit expiration. I am a consumer and know that.). I doubt that this post will ever see a response but maybe someone reading this will at least consider that this could have been them and shop elseware.
Oh something else i just thought about. I had prefigured what the computer, warranty and sales tax would cost me, but at no time did he ever give me the price he was trying to charging to`my credit card.
I was not able to complete a sales transaction for the computer and warranty

I apologize for the trouble you had trying to order your new computer. Have you look to see if you can order this online and have it shipped to your home?

Adam & Bob,
As popular as that laptop sold at my store, I'd imagine EVERYwhere being sold out.

Well the worst experience continues on their website community. I guess when they say they will get back to you its the same as telling you goodebye & goodluck. Anybody deals with BB needs to have their head examined. I will be talking with my money elseware. I live in a mountain community of 200 homes. I know most of the people by first name and I am going to pass on the love. I just ordered a gateway NV5213u from ama zon A $100 more with a slightly better cpu. At least I have never been disappointed with their service

I was working on a way to get this computer to you. I hope you enjoy the Gateway, have a great day.
