This is my worse pickup experience from Bestbuy:
On 12/28/10, I ordered the Professor Layton and the Unwound future-Nintendo DS SKU: 1161185 that was sale for $17.99. The original price was $29.99. I requested the game to be picked up in Store at a local Best Buy.
On 1/17/11, the game still show as Backorder for the store pickup, but it shows the game was in stock online and will ship in 24-48hours from warehouse.
On 1/23/11, same thing, the game was in stock online, but the apparently the store didn't get the restock shipment. So my order status still shows Backorder for the store pickup.
On 2/12/11, i receive email from Bestbuy saying my oder will be cancelled if the store didn't the games in stock. So i click to request to extend the game for the store backorder.
On 2/13/11, i request to extend my order, but I didn't receive a confirmation email from BB processing my extension.
On 2/17/11, my item was cancelled because it is still not in stock even thought it is in stock online since 12/28/10.
Then to my surprised, couple of days later, on 2/20/11, the game was actually in stock in the store at $29.99, but my order was cancelled.
My biggest compliant is that why it took nearly 2 and half months for Best Buy to restock the a popular game in the store, while it is widely available and it is not like that game was sold out everywhere. Bestbuy had to canceled my game at the promotional price and then it is in stock in store. This is the worse pickup experience ever.

sounds Interesting though It would almost seem as though you should have posted this under bestbuy.com that is if you are looking for help . i mean this section is just mainly for talking about games and systems .

After reading through your post, I can totally understand the inconvenience you endured waiting for that DS game to be in stock for in-store pickup. That is strange that the unit was then available in-store a short time after your order was cancelled for some reason. We should have extended that backorder for you to obtain the sale price on that game.
