Re: What is the point of Checking Inventory and Store Pickup?

Good afternoon,

I can understand the aggravation of ordering a product on BestBuy.com for in-store pickup, driving to the store and then being informed that the computer wouldn’t be available for three days is disappointing to say the least.

In-store pickup is the process by which you should receive your BestBuy.com order within a timely manner.  Most orders can be picked up within 45 minutes of the products being ordered.  Once you place the order, you’ll receive two emails.  The first email is the order confirmation that verifies that we’ve received your order.  The second email will either indicate that we’re shipping items to your selected store for pickup or will let you know your order if ready for pickup.  Unfortunately, there are several processes that occur during the two emails.  There is an authorization of the account, verification of funds in the account and the products availability is confirmed before the second email is sent out.

If you are still interested in purchasing the computer, I would be happy to assist you.  I really apologize that your item was not available when you and your family visited our Marina store last Tuesday.
