So I am trying to purachase an Optoma HD20 projector for my home theater. I have a Bestbuy card backed by Chase bank, as I used to be a CC customer and was given that when CC closed down. I've used it a couple of times in the store, and knew I could not use it online. However, I did expect that if I wanted to purchase an item that Bestbuy sells, but is only available online the store would help me out with that. Today I visited one of the local BB stores and was told I was out of luck. The Manager did offer to sell me a gift card for the price of the projector, then I could go online and purchase it myself. Major problem with that is that there is currently a 36 month no interest deal on home theater purchases over $999 at BB, which I do not get for purchasing a gift card... So then the Manager said she would do no interest for 18 months on that deal.. Again. what? why? Best buy sells the projector, I would like to purchase it with my best buy card. I will be spending over $1000, and they don't even want to try and help me find a way? I will say that one of the customer serverice associates was very frinedly and tried to be as helpful as possible!
So now what do I do? Just buy it elswhere..? It sounds like Best buy . com cannot help in any way, the store cannot help.. I know it's supposed to be Chase that has messed things up or is somehow holding up the use of the BestBuy credit card on bestbuy.com, but how am I suppose to be able to purchase the projector from this store, which has it, but cannot seem to find a way to sell it to me on the store credit card?
Wait! Looking back at the 36 month no interest offer, that says with HSBC. So does that mean that I would not get that deal with my BestBuy card? Perhaps I should go take the manger up on the 18 months no interest deal...

Hi nibs75,
First, please allow me to begin by saying that I am very sorry I was unable to try and help with this sooner, but I am happy to hear that you have since been able to make a purchase that you are happy with!
It is accurate that as your now Best Buy® credit card account is administered by Chase (our third party partner) only they have direct access to or influence over their records, policies or procedures. However, I was able to forward this information to Chase on your behalf, and you should have since received a response from them explaining their position on the matter.
Therefore, if there is anything further I can do to assist you at this time, please feel welcome to let me know.
Thank you for your feedback and have a great day!
