Unhappy with TV purchase

Dear Sirs,

 

My gripe with the Best Buy is that I bought a TV (it was the last piece on display) LED Insignia 46 inches. They gave me a discount for being part of the exhibition. I liked the discount and bought it.

 

However, when we got home we found that the base that supports the TV does not fit in it. Also, found a channel pixel was with defective too.


After trying to solve via technical assistance. it did not show up in my house to fix the problem, we went to the store and the manager asked us to return to the TV that he wouldpersonally verify and if necessary, could be exchanged for another. Thus, the exchangewas made, but we noticed that we were given a 46-inch LCD TV and not an LED. We tried to argue that we had bought an LED, but the bill contained an LCD TV because the discount given for being the last part, did not correspond with the value of LED TV if itwas packed. We just gave up arguing about it and returned home with the LCD TV. We're finding the very bad TV image. We do not like anything.

 

I arrived in Brazil recently and had already bought several products on BB: an HP computer, mobile phone and other minor things. But with this action after the sale of them, I do not want to buy anything in Best Buy.

I don't fully understand your whole post but if you bought an open box tv and exchanged it, you would have to pay the difference because you would lose the discount for it being an open box. It sounds like the lcd version was the same price as the open box led. If so, the store was correct. You can return it if you are within 30 days but would have to return it to a US location to do so.

Hi itabognol,

 

It was disappointing to hear that this open-box LED TV did not have the correct stand, and that this store was not able to locate the correct stand. The store should have done their best to exchange this TV for a model that met your needs, but the model they exchange this LED TV for could not cost more than you paid without you paying the difference.

 

If you are not satisfied with this second TV you can exchange it at a Best Buy store, within 30 days from the date you took possession of the TV, for any model TV that does meet your needs within your personal budget. Let me know if you need any further clarification on this.
