Is it possible to transfer a pre-order of Diablo 3's Collectors edition from one store to another without canceling the pre-order and re-ordering it at the second store?

I ask this because if a store near me ends up having a midnight release, but the one I pre-ordered at does not.  I would like to transfer it to a store that would be having it.  I am aware of the possibliliy that no stores in my area will have a midnight release but am just preparing for the possibility of this happening.

Also, if is is possible to transfer the pre-order from store to store, how much time in advance would this change need to take place?

I'd honestly tell you that it's probably not possible.  Pretty much every store in my area is sold out of the CE version pre-orders.  You could call the other stores and see if they are still able to take any pre-orders.  If they can, you would probably have to cancel your current one and just get set up for a pre-order at the other store.

Unfortunately there wouldn’t be a way to transfer your pre-order to a different store.  You would have to cancel and re-order the game if you wanted to pick it up at a different store.

Do you have any updates as to whether or not Best Buy will be doing Midnight Releases for D3?

I actually don't have that information at this time.  Your best bet would be to partner with the store you pre-ordered from and they should be able to let you know if they will have a midnight release or not.
