Store-pick problem

I bought a portable GPS friction mount online and went to pick up my order this evening.  The lady put the product in the bag and I left the store and went to my car.  When I check the item, I noticed that the it cut on the left side and the arm or piece that connects the GPS unit to the friction mount pad was missing.

I went right back to the store and talk to the same lady, and she was very defensive and she said "this is not how I gave it to you"!  She refused to exchange the product, and said that she was the store manager and that I needed to call the 800 BestBuy number if I had any problems...

I made several purchases at BestBuy before and this was very insulting.  That lady did not even wanted to hear the problem and was defensive all the time and even said "are you calling me a liar?".

Any advise?

Re: Store-pick problem

Try another store.  I know it's an inconvenience, but BB.com orders can be returned at any BB store for the most part.
Nothing I post is an official statment of Best Buy or Geek Squad, it is only a helpful opinion!

Re: Store-pick problem

I actually called the Best Buy corporate number and they called the store and requested that I should be entitled to an exchange.  I went back the next day and everything was taken care of.
