Re: Still haven't received my items

no nothing yet. No refunds for APO addresses until the order is outstanding for 45 days. I think it makes a difference whether the items were air freight or put on a ship. If your computer goes through New Jersey, watch out.  I ordered my computer 31 Jan and still have not received anything as of today.  My order hit on Feb 10 New Jersey (APO hub) and still nothing.

I am a bit  frustrated with BB for other reasons related to this order but the shipping is slow due to military mail.

good luck

Re: Still haven't received my items.

If they are saying that APO's take 30-45 days then the website needs to reflect this. After reading all of the posts on this forum I have realized I am not alone. It has been 30 days since I made my order and I am none to happy about this delay since my husband has now left his previous location in Germany for Afghanistan. The website

states:

Most items shipped to APO and FPO addresses will be received within 5 - 7 calendar days. Some orders may take up to 14 days, and orders containing older-release

movies and music titles may take up to 30 calendar days.

Had I known Best Buy would have taken this long I wouldn't have ordered a $1200 laptop. I think it should be noted I ordered another retailer and the same laptop was shipped and received within 10 business days. If Best Buy had been up front about the shipping times on their website I wouldn't be upset. However whenever I called, my case was escalated to the late loss department and then I received a call 6 days later stating the same "30-45 days to an APO". Those of us who are military families know that while occasionally this occurs, I find it hard to believe that from Best Buy mysteriously a large majority of us are having this experience. Not one single one of the other boxes I have personally sent through the USPS nor any of the other items I have purchased throughout the years have ever taken this long. And this includes the other 2 laptops we have had shipped to his APO through other retailers. I am a reasonable person but due to the lack of Best Buy taking responsibility for their lack of caring about their service and shipping, I will never go through Best Buy again.

Re: Still haven't received my items.

Found this on another person's post:

I did some research on why it takes longer to ship to an APO from Best Buy® as opposed to some other retailers. While other retailers are not my expertise, I found out that Best Buy® has a limited amount of warehouses which are capable of sending to APO’s. If the product you wanted was not available in one of those designated warehouses, it would need to be shipped to the proper location then routed to an APO. This could cause a small delay. Other than this factor, we really do not have too much control over the postal service. In addition, if the item is being shipped overseas, we again are not able to control shipping once it leaves the APO. In addition, items shipped overseas can incur an additional wait time due to customs inspections.

I know this does not help with your time delay, however I hope it offers a bit of explanation to your question.

Thank you for posting and take care,

Re: Still haven't received my items.

That was from over two years ago and I don't believe it applies any longer.

Re: Still haven't received my items.

Just got notice on shipping that it arrived at the APO.

This right at the 45 day mark.  I had 3 pieces in my order, all the items that did not go through Jersey City arrived within two weeks if that.  Jersey city 45 days.  It may have to do with using air freight vs. by boat.  However, priority mail would be faster since I think that goes by air into Germany then distributed out to the different APO addresses.

Re: Still haven't received my items.

Crystallee, so what if it was two years ago?  It seems to still be an ongoing issue.  Two years ago the person stated it takes 30-45 days.  Fast forward to now, it is still happening, in regards to the long time frame for orders to be received.

Still_waiting, glad to hear you got your order.  My order that went through NJ took 45 days to get to me as well.  It seems that the issue of APO/FPO orders that go through NJ, is still a problem.  Best Buy really needs to get rid of that false advertising banner.  I've ordered, through Target, JC Penny, Macy's, Toys R Us, and many others to include some mom and pop sellers on Amazon none of their orders ever took more than 10 business days to get to my APO address.  Best Buy needs to drop that sorry excuse of a shipping company.  You would think with "speed" in their name it would actually mean something.

Re: Still haven't received my items.

Straight to Priority Mail would be better than the current shipping.  A system where it goes through UPS to get transferred to the postal service is not good especially if they are going to drop the items in bulk mail, not Priority or 1st Class mail.  When they do that it goes on the boat from Jersey.
