So I am pre-ordering Starcraft II Collectors Edition...and shipping ?!!?

So I selected "Express", cause I wanted it COME release day to be here. I mean on the Website it even says that "Expidited" ensures it will be there on release day, but it won't.

 

"Express" is 11$, normal 4$ shipping, says it will be there the same day as the 11$ service. 7/29.

 

I must ask, why the heck would I pay 11$ instead of 4$, for the same delivery date?

I am sure you are excited about your preorder of Starcraft 2; I myself have been waiting for it to come out for what seems like forever.  I understand your excitement and your quest to get the most out of your purchase.

 

I would like to address your concerns about the shipping cost you mentioned.  First, that dates are just estimates; we try to give the best shipping information we have on our products, but the time frames are not always guaranteed.  Secondly, on the help page of BestBuy.com it mentions what the approximate shipping times are.  The standard ship time is, 4-8 business days, expedited shipping is 3 business days, and express shipping is 2 business days.

 

Preorder items, if you decide to have them shipped, aren’t always offered to be at your home the same day that they are released.  If you are looking for the release day option, you should look for game titles that give the Street Week Choice option.  With this option, you can get the game you preordered at your door on release day.  Your other option, if you want the game the same day it is released, is to choose in store pick up.  You can preorder the title and on the day it’s released you can pick it up at the store and start playing that day.
