I ordered a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro OS Lens on 8/21 and the status says 1 item(s) - order at warehouse in process of shipping. The product page states that processing takes 2-5 business days, and it's now the 6th business day. I also paid for expedited shipping.
If the lens is in the warehouse, why is it taking so long to process? And in the event that the lens is not in the warehouse and being shipped from manufacturer, this information should have been posted on the product page. That definitely would have swayed me into not purchasing the lens.
I guess I am just a little frustrated. I have never had any problems when purchasing from Best Buy, but am starting to rethink my decision. I wanted this lens for this weekend, and have had to change plans around for next weekend in the hopes that it will finally ship and arrive by then.
I would truly appreciate any help, advice, and insight on this issue.

The product page stated shipping in 2-5 days. I could even understand 7-10... but a delay of 1-2 months or possibly longer is unacceptable.
I talked to a customer service representative earlier today, and found out that Best Buy does not even have the lens in stock. They've outsourced my order to a fulfillment company. I ordered my lens from Best Buy, not the outsourcing company. If I had wanted the lens delivered from another company, then I would have ordered from them. It's just all very frustrating.
I need the lens by Friday, my plans cannot be changed. If this is not possible, then I would like my order canceled, so I may go elsewhere.

Thank you, I truly appreciate your help in this situation.
I received the email this morning that my order had been canceled. I was able to purchase the lens from another camera store today, and it will be arriving by UPS on Friday. So, while I wish things had gone better with BB, I am happy with the outcome of the situation.
