I have been trying to get in touch with Customer Service through "Contact Us" for the past week and it still is not working. I received a Coby CSP-96 Stereo system as a graduation gift. I unpacked it and finally got it hooked up and when i turn the system on there is what i would assume is a Full-Power blast of sound from the subwoofer. It seems to me that the sub may be short circuited or something. This is without any sound input connected, Just the stereo itself turned on, and with all volume levels turned completely down. I unfortunately did not receive a receipt since it was a gift, so i was trying to get in touch and see what my plan of action should be to get this replaced. I would appreciate someone taking the time to get back in touch with me.

I’m sorry to hear about the problem you’ve encountered with your new stereo system! Regrettably though Best Buy would be unable to either repair the unit under its factory warranty coverage or exchange it (if it is still within 30 days of the purchase date) without proof of purchase. That means that you would need to contact the person who purchased it for you to request a copy of the original receipt. Once you’ve done so, simply stop by the Geek Squad counter at your local store and we’d be glad to help you out.
In the event that the purchaser no longer has a copy, they may request a duplicate receipt by speaking with a customer service associate at their local store or by contacting us at 1-888-BEST-BUY (1-888-237-8289). Just keep in mind that our privacy policy prohibits us from discussing account details with anyone other than the original purchaser, so you would be unable to request a copy of the receipt yourself.

Since the day of the delivery of my purchase, I have been submitting requests to return an online purchase of a large television due to a defect. I have also contacted the 888-237-8289 phone number and was told that I would be contacted to arrange for an exchange delivery and pick up. I have not been contacted. I am currently on hold for over 45 minutes waiting to speak with a representative. I would like to be contacted in a timely manner reqarding this issue.
