Hi, new to pre-ordering at BB, and pre-ordering in general.
If I want to go ahead and pre-order the Diablo III Collector's Edition and use the store pickup option, is it guaranteed that my store will have it at release date? Or, is it possible that it's a first come, first served basis?
I'm talking about picking it up on the same day it's released, or even late night if my store has a midnight release, and not waiting a few days or weeks.

Hi Minecrawler,
Great question! We allocate stock based on the pre-orders we take for each location so your pre-order secures you a copy and you'll have one set aside for you on 5/15 when you go in to pick it up!

So when I pre-ordered 2 copies of this in store on 3/18/12 when it was still available, and now I went in to the store and they are saying they lost one of my copies, that's supposed to be completely normal right?
Pre-ordering a video game per your exact words guarantees or "secures" my copy or copies to be there on release date.
This is the 3rd time the Cuyahoga Falls Ohio #278 store has fumbled the ball on a pre-order or site to store order and it is very frustrating being a 3 time Silver Premier Reward Zone member.
The store and manager offered me little if any compensation after being deceptive about my pre-order.
Please resolve this satisfactorily for me.
ps I will be documenting this entire report on ripoffreport along with any solution that best buy offers
pss I'm also still reeling from the fact you stripped away all of my valued silver reward zone benefits and replaced them with nothing measurable, and have still to this date not been compensated for the napster and the streaming video downloads I was supposed to receive

Hello User149640,
I can understand you being upset about not getting one of your Diablo III Collector's Edition pre-orders. Your pre-order should have secured your copy of the game as I mentioned before, or two your copies in your case, so I'm sorry that didn't happen.
I was able to locate your information using the email address you have registered on these forums and was glad to see that you got in contact with a Consumer Relations Agent shortly after you posted here. It looks like they then connected with a Customer Service Manager at your local store to work out a resolution for you.
Did you end up getting that taken care of at the store?
