I had bought an Insignia LED 46 inch TV 2 months ago. I loved the tv but the base broke...and I have been having problems with our local Best Buy over it. They say the base isn't covered by warranty which makes NO sense since it CAME with the tv. Then they had techs come into my home saying it was customer abuse which it most certainly WAS NOT. The television never moved from the STURDY TV stand we have. I was watching tv and the base broke and tipped the television over cracking the screen. I am not pleased with how your store works and I buy ALL of my electronics there. I would like reimbursed for the tv. I don't care whether it is my money back or store credit. But this is wrong to do to honest customers. I intend to write to everyone about this and tell everyone I know until I get some actions made.

And ofcourse I am being offered no help on here either. Best Buy shines through again. Sad considering that I have gotten that tv 2 months ago from them, 2 lap top computers, a home computer, accessories, and replaced the broken TV with a Google TV all from best buy (bought all my previous gadgets from them too)....all within 3 months. No more business for Best Buy from my family.

It wasn't accidental damage. It was a malfunction with the base that came with it. The issues has been resolved and my credit card reimbursed for the amount of the tv.

Hi dba7681,
This sounds like a very dramatic and disappointing event, and I am sorry after watching your new TV fall like this you were then told we couldn’t help.
It is just not true that a defect in the stand, causing a TV to become damaged, would not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. The problem comes when determining if it was a defect, or if something external caused the TV to fall off the stand.
I do show that we had a technician out to look at the TV, and they had determined that the stand was not defective. With all that said, I see the store decided to take care of this for you, and the purchase of the TV was refunded to you yesterday.
Thanks for posting,
